General Motors Diet: Do You Lose Weight By Driving Their Cars?

General Motors Diet: Do You Lose Weight By Driving Their Cars?

No, you don't! After all the hyped Atkin's diet, raw food or vegan diet, here comes the super cool diet of the generation. The name is GM Diet. I am sure you have heard it. People say it works. Yes, if you eat like that, you will effectively lose weight. But let's see what is the GM Diet regime all about.

General Motors Diet: What You Gotta Eat?

Okay, I do accept it is better than fat removal surgeries and the colon flushing treatment. It's even better than half the diets out there because you get to eat in plenty. So here is how you go about it.Okay, there are two ground rules. No alcohol and lot of water. Keep yourself hydrated at all times (Hydrated sounds too fancy for me!!!)

The First Day: Eat all the fruits you can but don't go bananas. I mean literally. Don't, eat bananas. It is said that if you restrict yourself to melons that baby, you can lose up to 3 pounds on the first day. Now hard could that be!

The Second Day: Be a vegetable..... eater for the whole day. For breakfast two baked potatoes are advisable with a little bit of butter. Wow!!! I like this diet already. Oh, I forgot. All vegetable day means vegetables only. No restrictions on time and quantity.

The Third Day: Go Fruity and Veggie. Again no going bananas and potato. What? Why? Okay.

The Fourth Day: Yes, you finally get to go bananas on the fourth day.... and milk. Oh and eight bananas and three glasses of milk. Wow, more restrictions? Oh! Now they tell you. you get to eat soup in little quantities.

The Fifth Day: Get beefy and tangy on this day. Tomatoes and beef. Okay. Cannot get beef here so will do with lamb. 6 tomatoes. Remember. Drink more water. 10 oz. of beef, please.

The Sixth Day: (Horrible Arnie movie by the way): Go beefy or lamby with vegetables. So fancy and weird. I think my diet is less crazy now. Eat all you can today, by the way.

The Seventh Day: It is not over yet: Brown rice, vegetables and fruit juices. Hmm, interesting.

Be Prepared For The Side-Effects

Newton missed out on the side effects portion of his third law. But I wont. For those who are willing to try this. Please do and let me know whether it works or not. But remember:
  • Can cause dehydration
  • Dizziness
  • Muscular Weakness
  • This one is classy. you will feel hungry and will want to eat more! Don't!
I salute the girls with such perseverance, no thanks to the boys because they lose weight too easily. As for me, I went hungry last night and then had some Wai Wai cup noodles. I am eating lesser but not less enough.

Does Bowling Help Lose Weight?

Does Bowling Help Lose Weight?

Yesterday, after work we were taken down to a bowling place at a mall. It was my first time in bowling. I started playing the game at a very positive note with a strike. However, it was downhill after that. I am not athletic but I still scored 56, in my first bowling game. I think it is a good sport. But the question that I have in my mind, since yesterday is, "Does bowling help lose weight"?

So, I did a quick research and the right question to ask, thanks to Google search suggestions is:"Does bowling help burn calories?".

So, I ended up with a calculator tool on this website: http://www.fitday.com/webfit/burned/calories_burned_Bowling.html. So the answer is yes, but how much is dependent on a few factors such as the height, weight, age and sex. The result was given as 146 pounds per hour. That's not too bad. But not worth it, considering the amount of money spent for a single hour of bowling. There was another website which calculated the same, depending upon the weight and time spent only: http://www.sparkpeople.com/resource/calories_burned.asp?exercise=6. I don't know how accurate they are, but I do know whatever the outcome maybe, but I really enjoyed playing the game.

I wish I could do the toe thing the Fred Flinstone does when bowling. I miss that cartoon. I wish they would show more Hannah Barbara cartoons, as they used to show when we were kids.

I eat Chinese for dinner in the food court, by the way. See how my diet has gone crazier by the day.

No, I am not Going for a Morning Walk

No, I am not Going for a Morning Walk

Although, I am wearing jeans and running shoes, I have not intentions to run or jog. I did eat Palak paneer (spinach with cottage cheese) and some rice for dinner. I plan to go hungry till lunch. I am doing this to check whether I have control over eating large quantities, if I have gone hungry for some time. I did have a cup of coffee today. But that was for waking up. Now, that you have seen me on the third day of my crazy diet, you would understand that I really need to work out. I am continuing to take the Ayur Slim pills. It has done nothing to my crazy appetite but does make me sweat and I can feel this constant heat inside my body.

My Crazy Diet: Some Additions

Here are some stuff that I have changed:

  •  I am super-broke. So I can only afford instant noodles. However, noodles are made of flour and I cannot afford to eat flour as it has a lot of calories. It would be too weird to eat everything that helps gain weight. So I’ll alternate it with wheat bread or some boiled vegetables… if I can buy some.
  • The next thing that I am also doing is restricting my food budget. For now my food budget is restricted, thanks to me being broke but I need to continue it.

In The Picture: Yes I am Obese

For some of out there, I think trying a crazy diet of your own and not having enough weight to lose is useless. So, I have enough weight to lose, for me to keep writing as long as it takes me to look… well let’s just say not so obese.

For The Blog: Recipes and Experiences.

I am looking forward to cooking an interesting but simple dish over the weekend and sharing the recipie with everyone. Though this blog is strictly following a diet blog, I would enjoy writing about my experiences in general.

The Beginning To My Crazy Diet

The Beginning To My Crazy Diet

Hi Everyone,

Last time I went to get a gym membership in a fancy mall with its fanciness and fancy equipment, I felt totally insulted when the dude said that my BMI was so bad that the detection machine could not calculate it. I know it’s the BMI machine’s fault. But I also know that it is my fault as well. I am not only over weight but scarily overweight. I must be around 95 kgs or above. I want to lose weight but my work and the lack of enthusiasm does not permit me to do much. So, I have figured out a way of doing it. I am going to try random diet ideas with no or little exercise. I am going to document each detail as much, as is possible and see whether it works for me or not. I am sure others have done this too, but let us just say I am trying something for myself.

My Crazy Diet So Far

Here are some of the things that I have already started doing since yesterday in my crazy diet plan:
  •  I have started taking a dietary supplement twice a day to stop my food cravings. It is called Himalaya’s Ayur Slim. I started consuming them yesterday morning, which would be November 25, 2013. Even if it really does not work, I hope it at least helps reduce my appetite.
  •  I have eaten full office lunch yesterday while had just taken Top Raman curry smoodles for dinner. I am glad am lazy. That way I can avoid cooking deliciously high-calorie food. (I do know that smoodles is high on calorie but it is lesser than what I eat).
  • Today I had lunch with only one chapatti (Indian circular bread), a little bit of potato mash and 3 kadi pakodas (Punjabi dish). I know it is a lot but it is not little, but that’s why my diet is crazy.

What I Intend To Do Next In My Crazy Diet

These are things that I have planned next in my crazy diet:
  •  I am going to be drinking a lot of water, starting from today.
  •  I will not join the gym, although I still have a month’s membership left, but I am adamant not to. At least, not until I am confident enough.
  •  I will have only 2 meals a day: a heavy lunch at work without rice and a pack of instant noodles or something as minimal. I like milk and Chocos and would love that for dinner. So have to grab some milk.
  •  I will take public transport to work. At least, that way I have to get down of the shuttle vehicle and walk around 400 m, coming and going.
I will keep updating more information on this blog as regularly as possible. I plan to add pictures of myself as many times as possible to check possible results visually as well. I will post a picture tomorrow. But for now, take yourself seriously.

Peace,
